Ah, this show is pretty cute, right? I was surprised to know it’s ratings were pretty low. It’s filled with interesting characters—not always something that happens, sadly. Spoilers ahead!
Anyway, the reason I am making this post is because I have a bone to pick with Kim Shin. I usually don’t watch many dramas with love triangles and am confused as to whom I want the heroine to end up with. Who to pick? Ah, I dunno! A decision made even harder by the simple fact that Lee Dong Gun and Jung Yong Hwa have the same face. In Mi Rae’s Choice it was definitely like this…in the beginning.
After Kim Shin knows the truth about what happens in the future and believes it, you know what bothers me? That he does not try to make a change. That he just continues on his path and doesn’t try to work it out with the woman he supposedly likes. Why can’t he take this as advice and then use it change his ways. With that kind of insight into your life, of course it can help you make better decisions. Nothing is set in stone and it really irks me that he is so confident in himself to make Mi Rae completely miserable instead of happy that he resorts to hurting both her and himself. And yes, maybe she tells you to die…and well…you go and do that but why not think about the context of why she said that and make it so it is never said? If this is Kim Shin caring for Mi Rae (and himself) then I don’t think she needs him at all. He can definitely do better, but just like the future that Future Mi Rae comes from he is not. And it’s really lame.
